Sunni L. Goodson has extensive experience in historic building preservation that gives her a unique understanding of the best treatment and care of historic building materials, as well as for balance, proportion, and the nuance of detail that imbues homes both old and new with timeless character. By drawing inspiration from the rich narratives of traditional architecture, Sunni ensures that her contemporary designs are not only distinctive and materially sound, but also meaningful reflections of her clients' personal stories.

Sunni has worked extensively with historic buildings across Ireland and the US. From 2012 to 2020, she served as an Interior Designer and Architectural Conservation Specialist at two Grade I Conservation firms in Dublin, where she led hands-on preservation and heritage redevelopment projects. Her work spanned 17th-century townhouses to 1960s landmarks, and included condition assessments, repair specifications, designs for adaptive re-use, planning guidance, and on-site oversight. Now, she is Director of Conservation and sole Interior Designer at Vico Group in Ireland.

She has contributed to over a dozen historic building surveys for Ireland’s National Inventory of Architectural Heritage and serves on multiple boards, including the Victorian Society in America, the Register of Heritage Contractors, and the Irish Georgian Society’s Conservation Committee. Sunni has also lectured widely, including for the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland and University College Dublin.

In 2012, she earned recognition from the Historic Salisbury Foundation for her work on the Cyrus West House. She has studied architectural heritage through prestigious programs like the Attingham Trust and the Victorian Society in America’s summer schools.
