Our style is transitional, layered, and eclectic, borrowing from a detailed knowledge of Classical sensibility and proportion, offset by a penchant for texture and color-forward designs. But the mark of a good designer is deciphering, and ensuring that the home is reflective of, the client's style, not their own. Whether you are hoping to refine your interior plan, improve the flow of space, build a small addition, or construct something totally new, I offer you extensive real-world design, construction, and project management experience so you can realize your vision, from the ground up.
Existing survey: Your space is measured and drawn to-scale in AutoCAD. I also take photos of the space and get to know your unique needs and tastes.
Space planning / sketch design: I start with sketch plans that explore traffic patterns, natural light and orientation, and provide options for your review and discussion. Building Code and zoning compliances are essential at this stage to ensure the end-stage is achievable.
Detailed Design: Detailed design stage includes interior and exterior elevations, sections, and large-scale details where required. Future-proofing of phased projects is critical at this stage to prevent repetition of work.
Bid Preparation: I work with a number of builders, or would be happy to talk to your preferred contractor about your project. I prepare a detailed suite of drawings with all scope notes as required, including repairs, service works, and other general works as needed. I also work with you to establish a set of specs and allowances for various materials and finishes both inside and out.
Permit drawings & Project Management: I work with your builder to prepare permit drawings. I routinely provide construction-stage project management with ongoing review of works, assistance with selection of materials, paint schedules, and oversight of all design and aesthetic-related elements including tile setting out and installation, millwork design, and other details. I enjoy working collaboratively with highly skilled builders.
Custom Interior Design
The classic, gold standard of interior design services. I can assist you in achieving the interior of your dreams with access to many exclusive, to-the-trade vendors specializing in custom furniture, fabric, trims, carpeting, rugs, bedding, wallpaper, accessories, and beyond. Bespoke built-ins, niches, curves, and unexpected uses of space, light, and shadow is my speciality, all of which forms a perfect blank canvas for beautiful interiors selections. With a trusted network of upholsterers, seamstresses, faux finish painters, electricians, installers, and more, you know you are accessing a one-stop-shop for everything and everyone needed to bring your vision to life.

Space planning: I start with sketch plans of possible furniture layouts and appropriate furniture sizes that explore internal traffic patterns, natural light and orientation, and provide options for your review and discussion.
Mood / Concept Board: To help clarify your vision, I prepare a Mood and/or Concept Board as needed with inspirational looks, precedent images, textures, colors, or materials that I believe will meet your needs.
Interiors Selections: I prepare a suite of room presentations with specific selections of custom furniture, lighting, real upholstery, window treatments and wall covering samples, paint colors, rugs swatches, trims and all other interiors FF&E (furniture, finishes & equipment). Adjustments are made if/where needed to be sure you are completely excited about the end result.
Procurement: I order all selected lighting, fabric, furniture, and other custom items on your behalf. I write Work Orders and COM forms for specialist contractors or vendors who will be preparing custom items to ensure quality control. I oversee all receiving and arrange and oversee white glove delivery and installation. I'm not done until your project is turnkey.
Vacation Rental
Design
As a vacation rental owner and host myself, I intimately know the challenges and opportunities inherent in the vacation rental business. As a host, your goal is to have consistent reservations. I start by researching comparable vacation rentals in your area as well as discussing your goals for the tier of experience you want to provide your guests. Together, we establish your investment parameters and I work to that end to create a vacation rental that is as comfortable as it is beautiful.
